Rory Sullivan has been providing acoustic consultancy advice for 14 years, since completing his PhD in acoustics from Liverpool University. Rory concentrates on building and architectural acoustics, but also advises on mechanical and environmental acoustics. For the majority of his consulting period, Rory has worked for Sharps Redmore Partnership, but in a desire to widen his knowledge and experience has spent 2 years working for Hyder Consulting Acoustics in Sydney Australia, on a number of prestigious projects. Rory is experienced in handling a wide range of projects including commercial, entertainment, mixed use, residential academic and so forth, including a number of large and signature projects both in the UK and overseas. Rory is able to work as the sole consultant or run small teams of consultants depending upon the type of project. Rory has a zest for acoustics, always trying to provide the best and most practical advice based on good acoustic principles. Rory has published a number of papers on building acoustics, and sat on regional acoustic committees. Rory was appointed as a Director in 2008 and is part of an experienced team of consultants in the building acoustics sector.
