Ed studied Audio and Music Technology at Anglia Ruskin University, during his studies he developed a great interest in Acoustics. He graduated with a 2:1 in 2018 after completing his dissertation on “Gain controlled by picking velocity of guitar pickups”.
Ed started work aged 16 in a Café at a local country estates gardens and arboretum. He then changed roles and decided to join their horticulture team, which he continued to work with alongside his studies at university. After completing his degree he joined our team as an acoustic technician for the company hoping to expand his knowledge and experience of the industry.
Ed’s degree touched the surface of acoustics and sparked an interest for him which he is now able to pursue here at Sharps Redmore and expand his knowledge and experience of the industry. Ed takes part in environmental surveys, room acoustic modelling and sound insulation testing.
Outside of work Ed is an avid Petrol-head, working on his project car when he can and participating in track days and road trips. When he isn’t behind the wheel Ed is usually playing his guitars and recording songs.
