Gary graduated from Anglia Ruskin University in 2009 with a BSc (First Class) in Audio & Music Technology. He completed the Institute of Acoustics Diploma in Acoustics & Noise Control in 2012 and is due to complete an MSc in Environmental and Architectural Acoustics in 2019.
After graduating Gary first worked as an Assistant Mastering Engineer before starting his career in acoustics consultancy with Cass Allen in late 2009. He was promoted to Senior Consultant in 2013 shortly after completing the IoA Diploma and left Cass Allen for a new challenge with WSP in December 2014. After 2 years with WSP in Cambridge he joined Sharps Redmore in April 2016 and returned to us in June 2018 following a 6 month travel sabbatical.
Gary is experienced in most areas of acoustics including architectural acoustic design, building services acoustics, noise and vibration control, environmental acoustics and development Planning. He has developed strong specialisms in healthcare, education and religious buildings, leisure and entertainment venues and acoustics-related development planning issues. Gary is an experienced Project Manager and thrives on involvement through the entire development process from planning through to design and construction.
Gary is a passionate music lover as well as amateur producer, DJ and podcaster of electronic music. He enjoys long-distance running and can often be found on the roads and tracks around Ipswich training for his next event. Gary is also an enthusiastic foodie and traveler and likes to spend any spare time he has combing the two.
