Whilst at Ipswich, he obtained a second degree (first class honours) in Environmental Health and became the Senior EHO responsible for the day to day running of the Environmental Protection team. He has been a full Member of the Institute of Acoustics since 1997. He advised the Council’s Sports and Leisure, Planning, Building Control, Licensing, Crematorium, Printing, Engineering, Highways and Housing departments on noise issues such as control of noise at work, noise from road works, sound insulation, operator training etc. He co-ordinated and has carried out noise control from many large outdoor pop concerts, both at Ipswich and at other larger venues in the UK. Clive has wide experience in all aspects of noise and pollution control, and since joining Sharps Redmore at the beginning of 2006, has specialised mainly in the environmental side. He has given evidence in court on many occasions and is thoroughly familiar with the licensing and planning processes. He has many years practical experience of statutory noise nuisance enforcement and has designed noise control solutions in a wide variety of circumstances. |
