The redevelopment around the new Wembley Stadium has included residential blocks, student accommodation, hotel and an outlet centre including a Cineworld cinema.
Sharps Redmore have provided advice, on-site inspections and completion testing for more than 1000 apartments, several hundred student flats, the hotel, outlet centre and cinema. The apartments have all the normal Approved Document E challenges as well as enhancements for CfSH’s, including retail and restaurant units at ground floor. In addition the proximity of busy main roads has required the detailed assessment of the numerous facades to control external noise intrusion which applies to many sites.
In this location there has been the additional noise impact from events in the Stadium, including loud concerts, noise breakout from the Arena, noise from the public attending events, as well as from the large amount of mechanical plant, including a number of powerful extract fans serving the underground car parks.
