The new Centre for Medicine was completed in 2016. It is largest Passivhaus building in the UK at a Construction cost of £42 million.
The building accommodates teaching spaces, a lecture theatre, research laboratories, and facilities for 2350 staff and students. Sharps Redmore provided contractor side services to Willmott Dixon in relation to all aspects of sound insulation, reverberation modelling, and building services noise control, plus commissioning testing for a successful completion of the scheme. This project forms part of Sharps Redmore’s ongoing provision of acoustic services with considerable experience of these building types.
